In the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the care team (comprising of doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists) serves as the last line of defence for severe and critical patients with COVID-19 infection. These patients usually show signs of respiratory failure where they require oxygen support, and their condition can fluctuate rapidly.
A dedicated team works round the clock 24/7 to closely monitor our patients and to provide the best appropriate care and treatment.
Here’s a glimpse into the daily work of our NTFGH ICU team in our fight against COVID-19.
