Biosketch

​Dr Chen Jianping graduated from the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2010. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency training in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. During his Residency, he served as the Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Chief Registrar. He was conferred the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2017. He became of Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) in 2019, and joined the Fellows of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in the same year.

He practices general ophthalmology with a special interest in retinal diseases. Aside from advanced cataract surgeries, he sub-specializes in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina.

He is also regularly involved in the training of Medical Students, Residents, Nurses and Optometrists at NTFGH. He also has a keen interest in international ophthalmic humanitarian work and is an executive committee member of The Vision Mission, a non-profit organization that focuses on setting up sustainable eye care programs in developing countries.
