Biosketch

Adj A/Prof Christopher Pearce is Head of Division and Senior Consultant for Foot & Ankle Division at NUHS.
 

Adj A/Prof Christopher graduated from Manchester University Medical School in 1998 and underwent postgraduate surgical training in London. His main foot and ankle fellowship was also completed in London with a strong emphasis on the treatment of sporting conditions of the foot and ankle, especially in elite athletes. He was awarded an AO trauma fellowship to Dresden, Germany and the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society Travelling Fellowship award for his arthroscopy fellowship. In 2012, he was awarded the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society Travelling Fellowship.

One of the foot and ankle specialty leads for the Bone & Joint Journal, Adj A/Prof Christopher sits on the editorial board of the KSSTA (Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy) journal. He is also a reviewer for the Bone & Joint Journal and the Foot & Ankle International.

In addition, Adj A/Prof Christopher is the secretary of ESSKA-AFAS, and a member of the international Achilles Tendon Study Group, Ankle Instability Group and International Cartilage Repair Society. He maintains a keen interest in research and teaching and has published over 40 papers in peer reviewed journals as well as eight book chapters on foot and ankle surgery.
