Dr Harinda Goonesekera is an Anaesthetist and a Pain Management specialist who has a special interest in Interventional Pain Medicine. A Senior Consultant with the Department of Anaesthesia, NTFGH, Dr Harinda runs the hospital’s pain clinics as well as interventional pain lists in the hospital’s Operating Theatre Complex.

Dr Harinda graduated from the University of Colombo Sri Lanka in 2000. He received Anaesthesia training in Edinburgh and East London and obtained his Anaesthesia Fellowship training at the Royal College of Anaesthetists Great Briton in 2007. He then underwent his advanced pain management training in Edinburgh and obtained his Fellow Faculty of Pain Medicine Royal Collage of Anaesthetists. After qualifying as a consultant in UK, Dr Harinda worked as a Pain and Anaesthesia Consultant in Scotland prior to coming to Singapore.

Dr Harinda is regularly involved in teaching healthcare providers from different disciplines, in both formal and informal settings. He is the Training Programme Director for the Anaesthesia Fellowship Training Programme at NTFGH as well as a Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesia at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr Harinda is an invited speaker at international conferences regarding interventional pain management.
