"The Garden" is a co-creation by Composite Art & Design and over 600 students and senior citizens from various schools and welfare organisation in the west. Across a span of 5 months, a total of 420 garden-themed three-dimensional trees and flower paper sculptures were created for permanent display across 3 towers in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital.

Inspired by renowned Impressionist and Contemporary artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Georgia O'Keeffe and Wu Guanzhong, the artworks transformed the hospital space into a 'vertical garden' that is soothing for our patients' rest and recovery.

Each wall exhibits a series of flower-themed installation, inspired by each artist's preference and response to nature. To bring the flowers to life, students were taught techniques such as stacking and pleating to create a pop-out effect. Commissioned artists were further engaged to assemble parts of the artwork into a complete composition for the final installation.
