The Diabetic Foot MDC team aims to protect and care for the feet of patients with diabetes. Foot care plays a critical part in the treatment of diabetic patients who are more vulnerable to foot problems. Diabetes can damage nerves and reduce blood flow to the feet, making it harder for an injury to heal or for a patient to resist infection.
The service is jointly run by Vascular Surgeons and Podiatrist, with the support of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, Endocrinologist, Vascular Nurse, Diabetic Nurse Educator and Dietician.
