This study visit provided participants with an opportunity to gain insights into how a modern healthcare institution integrates smart design, technology, sustainability, and patient-centred care to enhance healthcare delivery. The programme include a corporate presentation highlighting the organisation’s approach to hospital planning, operational innovation, service excellence, and environmental sustainability.

The learning journey continued with a guided site tour, allowing participants to observe how healthcare spaces are designed to improve patient experience, support staff workflows, and optimise operational efficiency. Key highlights included the use of digital technologies to streamline patient journeys, sustainable building features, technology-enabled care delivery, healing environments, rehabilitation facilities that promote community reintegration, and innovative logistics solutions that support hospital operations. Through these real-world examples, participants gained valuable insights into how design, innovation, and continuous improvement can be integrated to deliver safer, more efficient, and patient-focused healthcare services.
