​Health on Track 2019 health carnival was in full swing on 30 March to get our community to stay in the pink of health. Kicking off the event was our inaugural “J.Walkers”, a fun monthly mall walk programme to encourage our patients, caregivers and residents to keep active rain or shine. All you need is about 30 minutes and 3,000 steps to complete this 2.5km mall walking route that links the hospital with the malls via the J-Walk elevated pedestrian network. J.Walkers flagged off with three special guests – Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Member of Parliament (MP) for Yuhua SMC and Advisor to Yuhua Grassroots Organisations (GROs); Madam Rahayu Mahzam, MP for Jurong GRC, and Advisor to Jurong GRC GROs; and Mr Murali Pillai, MP for Bukit Batok SMC, and Advisor to Bukit Batok GROs. Joining them were 300 participants, where they brisk-walked through the malls in the all-weather exercise route. The health carnival was also bustling with residents participating at various activities. Let’s continue to get on track to good health and wellness together!
