Conferences & Workshops
The International Society for Rapid Response Systems (iSRRS) is held its 15th International Conference on Rapid Response Systems and Medical Emergency Teams for the first time in Singapore on 18 April 2019. This was the largest international conference that brings together leading experts in Rapid Response Systems, to share their experience and current evidence in dealing with detection and response to clinical deterioration in hospitalised patients.
NTFGH is honoured to have hosted local and overseas healthcare delegates at two pre-conference workshops:
In the Medical Crisis Resource Management workshop led by NTFGH Clinical A/Prof Gerald Chua (Division Head, Medicine and Senior Consultant, Respiratory Medicine, Internal Medicine & Intensive Care Medicine), Dr Amit Kansal (Director, Clinical Simulation & Skills Laboratory, and Consultant, Intensive Care Medicine), Dr Shanaz Matthew Sajeed (Consultant, Emergency Medicine), participants experienced simulated emergency scenarios to learn how to manage stress factors and work together collaboratively as a team at the bedside of an acutely ill patient.
We also had the privilege of four international experts from various faculties, together with Dr Faheem Khan (Senior Consultant, Intensive Care Medicine & Emergency Medicine) lead the Rapid Response System workshop through introductory lectures and real case discussions.
It was a fruitful exchange of best practices with our healthcare friends!
