Inspiration
Stay is a song inspired by the stories of patients at JCH. Told from their perspective, it reflects on the lives they have lived, the experiences and memories they carry, and the people they hold dear.
Through the song, Stay honours their feelings, hopes, and struggles, reminding them that their stories are heard, their experiences are seen, and they are not alone.
About the Group
Weyoung is a Chinese songwriting club at Hwa Chong Institution, bringing together students with a shared passion for music and original songwriting. While rooted in Chinese songwriting, the group also creates original music in English, connecting with audiences through diverse genres and relatable lyrics.
Over the years, Weyoung has performed on a wide range of stages, from school events to external platforms such as the Istana Open House and the reopening of *SCAPE.
