Dr Lim Jin Xi is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery in NUH. She is trained in all aspects of general hand surgery conditions. Her subspecialty interests include wrist and sports injuries, trauma to the upper limbs, microsurgical reconstruction of the upper and lower limbs, and correction of nail deformities.
After obtaining her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2009, Dr Lim went on to complete her postgraduate Hand Surgery training in NUH.
Besides providing clinical care to patients, Dr Lim is actively involved in research and has published widely in international peer-reviewed journals. Her current research interests include surgical education, and she has been awarded several grants for her research projects. She has also been an invited speaker at both local and international hand surgery conferences, sharing her expertise in reconstructive surgery and wrist injuries.
Outside of work, Dr Lim enjoys keeping fit and remains active in the local sporting scene as a competitive floorball player. Her personal involvement in sports and fitness gives her a unique appreciation of how hand and wrist injuries can affect an individual's performance, lifestyle, and well-being. She is particularly passionate about helping patients overcome these injuries and return confidently to sports, exercise, and the activities that matter most to them.
