Dr. Alexa Lai is an Associate Consultant in Geriatric Medicine at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, part of the JurongHealth Campus. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and later obtained both a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from NUS and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK).
Following the completion of her core specialist training in Internal Medicine, Dr. Lai pursued and completed advanced specialist training in Geriatric Medicine. She has a keen clinical and research interest in geriatric oncology and has contributed to the field through several research publications.
In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Lai is passionate about education and mentoring. She serves as a Clinical Lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and is a Core Clinical Faculty Member involved in the training of Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) doctors.
Dr. Lai is also actively engaged in hospital governance and professional development, serving on the Nursing Credentials and Privileging Committee for the JurongHealth Campus. Her multifaceted role reflects her commitment to advancing patient care, medical education, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the healthcare system.
