Dr Dennis Poon joined in May 2025 as an assoicate consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He graduated from the University of Sheffield, UK and subsequently completed his specialty training in gastroenterology and hepatology in Nottingham, UK before moving to Singapore. Under the guidance of Professor Jervoise Andreyev, he was awarded with the Doctor of Medicine (Gastroenterology) by the University of Nottingham, UK for his research work on small intestinal bacterial overgrowth in 2024. Dr Poon has participated in multiple quality improvement and research projects to advance patient care, and continues to remain active in these areas in addition to his daily clinical work.
