Dr Jade Chee graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore in 2012. She completed her Masters in Family Medicine under the Singhealth residency programme, followed by her Advanced Specialist Training in Sports Medicine with the National University Health System (NUHS). She also holds a diploma in Sports Medicine accredited by the International Olympic Committee, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She is the only Sports Medicine physician in the NUHS cluster.
Dr Chee’s interest is in interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, having completed ultrasound courses in Singapore and the region, as well as in Harvard Medical School in Boston. She has presented her research in local and international conferences, including the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) annual meeting.
Dr Chee has been part of the medical team for various sporting events like the F1 Grand Prix, HSBC Rugby Sevens, and ONE Championship in Singapore. She has also been featured on local news channels like Channel 8, Today online and Shin Min Daily, on sports and exercise-related injuries and prevention strategies.
As part of her ongoing educational commitments, she is a core faculty member for the Sports Medicine Integrated Programme, as well as a member of the Sports Medicine Academic Review Team.
