Adj Asst Prof Pang Khang Chiang (彭康强) is a Consultant in the Division of Adult Reconstruction and Arthropasty, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, National University Hospital (NUH) and Divison of Hip and Knee Surgery, Department of Orthoapeics, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He was conferred the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) Glasgow followed by the NUS Master of Medicine (MMed) in Orthopaedic Surgery, completing specialist training with admission to the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery.
His practices as a Hip and Knee surgeon, covering degenerative and sports injuries. He has an interest in robotic-assisted surgery to improve patient outcomes. His administrative roles include being a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSoM) and a house mentor for the undergraduate YLLOSM students. He is also passionate about healthcare administration. His previous portfolio includes being custodian of the Total Knee Replacement Value Drive Outcomes and Total Hip Replacement Value Driven Outcomes Quality Improvement Programmes for the Ng Teng Fong Orthopaedics department (2023-2025). He is involved in the Joint Care in the Community (JointCom) Programme which aims to right site care for Hip and Knee patients in partnership with the NUHS Primary Care Network General Practitioners (PCN GPs).
