This course introduces Lean Management and Kaizen principles to drive continuous improvement in healthcare settings. Participants will learn to identify value, eliminate waste, and optimise processes using practical tools such as process mapping, 5S, 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis, and PDSA cycles. Through hands-on activities and real case examples, learners will develop skills to define problem and aim statements, analyse root causes, and implement sustainable improvements. The course emphasises applying small, impactful changes in daily work to enhance efficiency, patient experience and service quality, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across teams.
This course is designed for all staff who are keen to learn how to do continuous improvement projects at workplace. Participants are introduced to Lean principles and practical tools such as Process Mapping, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagram and PDSA to solve problems and implement improvements initiatives.
