Dr Chua graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He completed his post-graduate training in Respiratory Medicine in Singapore and has been an accredited specialist since 2018. He is well-versed in ultrasound skills and is competent in the use of bronchoscopy in the diagnosis and management of lung diseases.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Chua is actively involved in medical education. He obtained a Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Maastricht University in 2025. Dr Chua also serves as the Undergraduate Medical Education Director for the Division of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at the National University Hospital (NUH) and contributes to the Respiratory System Block at NUS. He has received multiple awards for teaching excellence and educational innovation.
