The number of geriatric patients needing to undergo major abdominal surgery is increasing as our population ages. We will share about the unique challenges and outcomes in this group of elderly population, care gaps and possible interventions in the primary care setting for these patients to achieve desired outcomes.
The most common proctology disorders encountered in practice are hemorrhoids, perianal fistulas, and anal fissures.
