Biosketch

Dr. Kishore Rajaguru is a Principal Resident Physician in the Department of General Surgery, Division of Colorectal Surgery, at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Singapore, under the National University Health System (NUHS).
He completed both his MBBS and postgraduate Masters in General Surgery at Madras Medical College and Government General Hospital, Chennai, one of the most prestigious institutes in India. He was recognized as the Best Outgoing Postgraduate Resident of his batch in 2012, receiving all four gold medals named after pioneer surgeons during his residency. He had worked in Apollo Cancer speciality institutes, Chennai before moving to Singapore in 2014.
Dr. Kishore was awarded the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in General Surgery in 2014 by the National Board of Examinations, India. He earned his Membership (MRCSEd) in 2012 and Fellowship (FRCSEd) in 2017 from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. 

His advanced training includes the Gyan Burman Surgical Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Research Institute, New Delhi (2013), a Fellowship and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery with the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (2015), and an observership in Robotic Surgery at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai (2024).

He is proficient in advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures, minimally invasive general surgery and conventional open surgery procedures, with a special clinical focus on the management of benign and malignant colorectal diseases. Dr. Kishore has published in peer-reviewed surgical journals and is an active participant in international surgical conferences.

In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Kishore is deeply committed to medical education. He teaches MBBS students at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore, where he has received multiple best tutor nominations. He also serves as a course instructor for the Surgical Suturing Skills Programme for surgical residents at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
Within his department, Dr. Kishore contributes as an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) IT Champion, conducting EMR training courses for new clinicians.
