Our Services



The Rheumatology service is run by a team of doctors that provides both inpatient and outpatient patient care with a holistic approach. The service specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. Our patients receive holistic care from a multidisciplinary team comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists and radiologists.


Conditions diagnosed and managed by the Rheumatology service include the following.

  • Degenerative joint diseases eg. osteoarthritis
  • Crystal induced arthropathy eg. gout
  • Osteoporosis
  • Soft tissue rheumatism
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Seronegative spondyloarthritides eg. ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis
  • Auto-immune disease and connective tissue disease including systemic lupus erythematous, systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, and inflammatory myositis
