Ng Kian Swan

Kian Swan is a prominent leader in the healthcare industry, bringing over three decades of experience across healthcare planning, operations, facilities management, and sustainability. He has been actively involved in the planning, design, commissioning and operational readiness of major healthcare facilities in Singapore and the region, including Changi General Hospital, Raffles Hospital, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Jurong Community Hospital, Jurong Medical Centre and 2 healthcare facilities in Hong Kong.

In his roles as Chief Sustainability Officer (NTFGH & JCH), Chair of the NUHS Energy & Water Taskforce, Chief Operating Officer (COO) overseeing Group Facility Management, he provides strategic leadership for sustainability, climate resilience and decarbonisation initiatives, driving improvements in energy efficiency, water conservation and carbon management across the organisation.

Kian Swan has completed executive education in Sustainability and Climate Leadership at MIT and INSEAD, including a one-year MIT hybrid programme focused on sustainability strategy, climate leadership and organisational transformation. He combines global sustainability perspectives with extensive practical experience in implementing sustainability initiatives within live healthcare environments.

Under his leadership, numerous sustainability projects have delivered measurable reductions in energy consumption, water usage and carbon emissions, while strengthening operational resilience, enhancing resource efficiency and supporting high-quality patient care.

He is also a frequent speaker, facilitator and host for local and international healthcare delegations, sharing best practices in healthcare sustainability, hospital planning, operational excellence and sustainable infrastructure development.
