Ng Teng Fong General Hospital
Dr Ng Wei Ming is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya and a Master of Medicine (Emergency Medicine).
With extensive experience in emergency and acute care, Dr Ng is passionate about developing clinical competence and preparedness among healthcare professionals. He serves as the Academy’s lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Chief Instructor, where he oversees the delivery and standardisation of ACLS training programmes. Through his leadership, healthcare professionals are equipped with the critical knowledge, technical skills, and team-based competencies required to manage life-threatening emergencies and perform effective resuscitation in high-acuity clinical settings.
A dedicated medical educator, Dr Ng is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training. He teaches Year 4 medical students from both the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine during their Emergency Medicine postings. He also conducts simulation-based training and cadaveric workshops for Medical Officers, providing hands-on learning experiences that strengthen clinical decision-making, procedural skills, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Through his combined roles as clinician, instructor, and mentor, Dr Ng continues to contribute significantly to the training and development of the next generation of healthcare professionals, while advancing excellence in emergency care education.
