Urology

NTFGH's Urology service works in partnership with the NUH Urology department on the Urology Residency Training Programme. Junior residents may rotate to NTFGH during the Surgery-in-General component and senior residents will usually rotate in their R4 year. These will spend six months in urology, with the opportunity of doing their six-month general surgery component in NTFGH as well.

During their attachment, residents are actively involved in clinical work such as ward rounds, outpatient clinics and operating lists, and also in JurongHealth Campus' educational and research activities. They gain exposure to a wide spectrum of urological cases, with a specific focus on urolithiasis, prostatic diseases and uro-oncology. For their general surgery rotation, they are fully engaged in the activities of the Department of General Surgery.

Residents also continue to participate in educational activities run by the Singapore Urological Association. They are expected to participate in the Urofair Annual Scientific Congress and urology residents' courses.
